Nancy Ann Hix, age 89 of Montgomery passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 peacefully and quietly at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, with visitation one hour prior. Private burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur at a later date.

Nancy was born on May 28, 1934 to Emil and Ruth (Kroche) Bratsch in St. Peter, MN. She attended St. Anne’s Parochial and was a graduate of Le Sueur High School. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Hix on December 28, 1955 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur, MN. She was a member of the K.C. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society and Meals on Wheels. Nancy enjoyed playing cards, traveling and being with family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Bill of 67 years. Son, Tim (Janice) Hix, Wilmington, DE, their children Sarah (David) Sallstrom and their children Alma and Stina Sallstrom; William (Rachel) Hix, their children Oliver and Elijah; and Allyson Hix. Son, Marty (Delphine) Hix, Madison, SD, their children A.J. and Ashley. Daughter, Colleen (Jon) Wincentsen, Edina, MN and their daughter, Clare. Siblings, Carol (Vern) Bombordier, Brainerd, MN, Jim (Kay) Bratsch, Lakeville, MN; sister-in-law, Monica Bratsch, Tryon, NC; many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ambrose Foley and brother, Ray Bratch.
