Theresa Ann Prososki, age 91 of Le Center passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Ridgeview Le Sueur Hospital in Le Sueur surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center with Father Chris Shofner officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center. Celebration of Life luncheon following burial at the St. Mary’s Social Hall.
Theresa was born on January 11, 1933, in Fullerton, Nebraska, the daughter of Alex and Rose Lesiak, with eight siblings Teddy, Irene, Angeline, Alonzo, Hilbert, Eugene, Rich and Cliff. At Fullerton High School, Theresa completed the teacher prep track and taught at a rural multigrade school in the Krakow, Neb area. Theresa married Louis Prososki in 1951, and the couple farmed in the Fullerton area until relocating to Minnesota in 1958.
Theresa and Louie were blessed with eight children – Theresa (Steve) Stith of Nevis, Mn, Charlene (deceased in 2000), Ron (Karen) of Pine River, Mn, Randy (Deb) in Center City, Mn, Rick (Janet) in St. Peter, Mn, Rob (Brenda) of Le Sueur, Mn, Russ (Nancy) of Lakeville, Mn, and Ryan (special friend Amanda) of Janesville, Mn. Also surviving are her brother Rich Lesiak of Columbus, NE, 24 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 3 spring babies.
Theresa’s seven remaining siblings are deceased as are her parents, husband Louis, daughter Charlene and son in law Jim Campbell.
Theresa was busy raising children for over 40 years but still managed to keep the records for their multiple businesses and put in many hours cooking and serving their customers at Louies Bar and Grill in Le Center, Mn, Chateau Supper Club in Cleveland and Sportsman’s in Waterville, Mn. Theresa always considered being a mother to her 8 children as her favorite and most important vocation. Along with that she had a definite gift for cooking and baking, growing indoor and outdoor plants, housekeeping, singing for many years in the St. Mary’s church choir, and in her later years was well known for being a puzzle master. Theresa was a very strong, devout Catholic with a special love for the Blessed Virgin Mary. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
