Alice Marie Zika

Alice Marie Zika, age 89, of Montgomery, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14 from 9am-11am at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. with Father Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Alice was born on February 26, 1933 at the family home in Cordova Township to John F. and Anna (Pomije) David. She attended country school and was a graduate of Le Center High School. Alice was united in marriage to Harold Zika on December 26, 1960. She worked at Green Giant in Montgomery and Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. She enjoyed gardening, reading, old time music, traveling, and was very proud of her Czech heritage.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Deborah; siblings, Jerry (Lorraine) David of Montgomery and Janet (Jerry) Gish of St. Peter; and granddaughter, Rochelle.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harold; nephews, Michael Gish and Ricky Gish.
