Alice W. (Holmes) Mcclune

Alice W. (Holmes) McClune, 83 of Le Center, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at her home in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.

Alice was born on December 27, 1931 to Errol and Alice (Gambold) Holmes in Clover Township near Hinckley. She attended Standstone School. Alice was united in marriage to Thomas McClune on September 13, 1969. Alice was a tax preparer for H&R Block for 25 years, factory warehouse inspector for 20 years at Anchor Glass and also as an over the road truck driver. She enjoyed puzzles and reading.

Alice is survived by her husband, Thomas McClune of Le Center, children; Kathy (Michael) Reintjes of Elysian, Ken (Mary) Kewatt of Shakopee, Larry (Millie) Kewatt of Minneapolis, Marcia (Edward) Herrgott of Shakopee and Colleen (David) Mattke of New Ulm; John (Venessa) McClune of Le Center, Jean (Rick) Kes of Jordan and Susan (Ryan) Lehto of Buhl; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and sister, Iris Edwards of Rock Island, IL.

She is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Loren Holmes, Alvan Holmes, Fremont Holmes and Francis Holmes and three grandchildren.
