Alois D. Trcka, age 100, of Lonsdale and Montgomery area died Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Pleasant Manor in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 3-7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Shieldsville and will continue Thursday morning from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Shieldsville.
Alois was born on July 8, 1916 in rural Lonsdale to Joseph and Mary (Skluzacek) Alois was united in marriage to Evelyn Ceplecha on June 29, 1937 in Montgomery at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Alois farmed all his life and served as treasurer of Erin Township for 32 years.
Alois enjoyed winter fishing and fixing lawnmowers and anything else that was broke. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of his life.
Alois is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Elgin of Montgomery; son-in-law, Keith Archambault of Faribault; grandsons, Dan (Kristi) Archambault of Owatonna, Scott (Melia) Archambault of Waconia, and Ryan (Rachael) Archambault of Rosemount; great-grandchildren, McCoy, Hudson, Mila, Lauren, and Hunter Archambault; sister-in-law, Barbara Ceplecha.
Alois is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon Archambault; brothers, George, Frank, Joseph, and Mathis; sisters, Mary Duban, Gertrude Ceplecha, and Jennie Kopet.
