Alvin Fredrick August “Gunner” Winterfeldt, age 80, of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Traditions in Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, from 9am to 11am at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery with funeral service to follow at 11am with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating.
Interment will be held in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.
Alvin was born on January 4, 1939 in Montgomery to Edwin and Helen (Kukacka) Winterfeldt. He was a graduate of Le Center High School. Alvin was united in marriage to Leona Fiddler on May 18, 1962. Alvin worked at the Culvert Plant in Shakopee for 30+ years and also worked at Montgomery Oil for Jerry and Lorraine David. Alvin loved working in the backyard with flowerbeds and his garden.
Alvin is survived by his daughters, Linda (Kevin) Keilen of Faribault, and Cindy (Ruben) Navejas of Montgomery; grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Keilen, Joseph (Laura) Keilen, Matthew (Jessica) Gallagher, Bianca (Ethan) Richardson, Michaela (Hunter) Navejas, and Nickolas Navejas; great-grandchildren, Alex, Alexis, McKenzie, Landon, Madison, Karson, Huxlie, Rhiley, Brynlee, Jameson, and Georgia; sister, Donna (Verne) Schuleter of Arlington.
Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Winterfeldt; grandson, Jonathan Keilen; parents; brother, LeRoy Winterfeldt; and parents-in-law, Thirza and Francis Fiddler.
