Alvin Tuma, age 89, of Montgomery, died on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Mayo Systems Mankato. In cooperation with the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health during the current health crisis, there will be a private family Interment on Saturday, March 28 at 11:30 a.m. at Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery. Memorials are preferred to St. John Lutheran Church Bell Tower Renovation/ repair.
Alvin was born on February 26, 1931 at home in Rice County near Twin Lakes to James and Anna (Kotavy) Tuma. Alvin was united in marriage to Agnes Emma Denzer on June 30, 1962 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. He enjoyed farming and was a member of the Twin Lakes Sportsmans Club.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Agnes Tuma of Montgomery; sisters-in-law, Margaret “Kookie” (Michael) LaPlant of Shakopee, Dorothy (Harry) Moravec of Veseli; brother-in-law, Clifford (Joyce) Denzer of Branson, MO.
Alvin is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Tuma and Milo Tuma; sisters, Alice Josten, Gladys Tuma and Gerty Tuma.
