Arlene Marie Lukes

Arlene Marie Lukes, age 90, of Le Center, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3 from 9am-10:30am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow with Father Sandquist officiating, all at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Arlene was born on March 6, 1931 in New Prague to Joseph and Lillian (Krenik) Budin. She attended country school and Le Center High School. Arlene was united in marriage to Donald Lukes on August 21, 1951 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center. She worked at various places including 1st National Bank, sold Avon, Coast to Coast, Little Bear Hardware Store, American Legion Kitchen, and was a farm wife. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking/ baking, and horse riding.
Arlene is survived by her children, Dennis (Chris) Lukes of Nicollet, Darryl Lukes and special friend Becky of Montgomery, and Douglas Lukes of Le Center; grandchildren, Corey, Marcus, Kele, and Kandace; great-grandchildren, Taylar, Tylar, Sunny, Mason, Bristol, Colton, and Oakley; sisters-in-law, Mary Agnes Budin and Mary Therese Budin; brother-in-law, Bill Hoffman.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Dale in 1962 at age 10; daughter in infancy.
