Bessie Marrie Reak

Bessie Marrie Reak, 88 of Montgomery, went to sleep peacefully in Jesus' arms while holding Gods hand on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Traditions in Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and also on Monday, June 16, 2014 one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Fr. George Kallumkalkudy officiating. Burial will be next to her beloved husband at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lexington.

Bessie was born on April 25, 1926 in Lexington Township in Le Sueur County the fifth of seven children to Frank and Mary (Kudlik) Picka. She was united in marriage to Stanley Reak on November 28, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. She enjoyed playing cards, grandchildren, being at the lake, listening to music and was able to live and see 5 generations gathered.

She is survived by her ten children, Dan (Alice) Reak of Sauk Center, Jane (Wayne) Offenhauser of Elysian, Sue (Harry) Mach of Le Center, Donna (Pat) Mulroy of Prior Lake, Donald (Bonnie) Reak of Le Center, Allan (Becky) Reak of New Prague, Roger (Eileen) Reak of Le Center, Mary Ann (Jerry) Schiprett of New Prague, Steve Reak of New Prague and Doug Reak of Crystal; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild and brother Harry (Kathy) Picka of Fairmont.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; siblings, Frank Jr, George, Eddie, Margaret Wacker and Gracie Plonsky, and grandson, Travis Reak.
