Beverly 'Bev' Ann Horejsi

Beverly "Bev" Ann Horejsi, age 64 of Montgomery, died Friday, August 26, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montgomery at 10:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. at the church. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.

Bev was born on January 18, 1952 to Gordon and Helen (Petersen) Goerndt in Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont. She was raised in Granada on a farm and graduated from Granada High School in 1970. She was united in marriage to Duane Horejsi on November 13, 1971 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fairmont.

Duane and Bev lived in New Prague for many years before moving to Montgomery. Bev worked at Mala Strana health Care Center in New Prague for 25 years in the housekeeping department. She loved helping others and did a lot of volunteering to help distribute food baskets at holidays and was very passionate about helping with the Service of Remembrance held yearly at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. She enjoyed many trips to Duluth with her family, fishing, playing cards and going back to the farm to help pick corn.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Duane; sons, Michael Horejsi and fianc�, Jenny Williams of New Prague, and Brandon Horejsi of Montgomery; siblings, Harold Goerndt, Susan (Duane) Philipp, and Dale Goerndt; aunts and uncle; Mary Ann Hansel, Alice Petersen, Ruth Nimerfroh, Kenneth Petersen and Walter Petersen, Nellie Goerndt; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Virginia Horejsi, Donald (Donna) Coughlin, Donald (Nancy) Horejsi, Dallas (Marsha) Horejsi, Dalleen (Ed) Sticha, Darrell (Sharon) Horejsi, and Diane McClintock; and many nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Charles (Leona) Horejsi; sister-in-law, Laurie Goerndt; brothers-in-law, Dennis Horejsi, and Curt McClintock.
