Carol Ann Teel

Carol Ann Teel, 68 of Le Center, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. Peter Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born on March 7, 1946 in St. Peter to Robert and Helen (Zvanovec) Nelson. She graduated from Le Center High School in 1964 and Mankato State University in 1968. She was a Spanish Teacher, Home Bound Tutor and English Literature Teacher for over 30 years. She taught at Dover-Eyota , Cleveland and Le Center High Schools. Carol retired from teaching in 2006.

Carol was united in marriage to Leonard Teel on June 15, 1969 at the United Methodist Church in Le Center. She devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and friends, sewing, crafts, cooking, singing in the church choir, traveling with her Spanish classes to Mexico and Spain, casino trips and spending her winnings on the Home Shopping Network.

Those left cherishing her memory is her husband, Leonard Teel of Le Center, daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Hunter of Buffalo and Tricia Earle of St. Louis Park. The joy, inspiration and hope in her life, grandchildren; Khloe Carol and Kevin Hunter Jr., Sophie and Dayton Earle. Carol is survived by her brother Robert Nelson of Virginia Beach, VA.

She is proceeded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral services will be held at the Le Center United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Czech National Cemetery in New Prague.
