Celeste T. Preble

Celeste T. Preble, 87, of Lonsdale, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Villages of Lonsdale. Visitation will be Friday, February 8 from 10am to 11am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Moments Hospice.

Celeste was born on March 28, 1931 in Shieldsville to Leo and Mayme (McDonough) McCullough. She went to country school in Shieldsville area. Celeste was united in marriage to John Preble on October 28, 1950 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Sheildsville. She most recently worked at Holy Redeemer Catholic School as a cook. Celeste loved flower gardening, dancing, socializing with friends, card playing, and playing with her grandkids.

Celeste is survived by her children, Mike (Jackie) Preble of Apple Valley, and Faye Walker (Allen Tovsen) of Burnsville; grandchildren, Chad Preble, Nicole Hansen, Ashley (Tim) Rosival; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marion Kosanda of Shieldsville, Eileen (Bob) Selly of Le Center, and Rita Headline of Faribault.

Celeste is preceded in death by husband, John “Jack” Preble; her parents; sister, Grace Hankins; and brother-in-law, Clarence Kosanda.
