Charles 'Jim' Phillips

Charles "Jim" Phillips, 69, of Le Center died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11am with visitation one hour prior at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jim was born on August 13, 1946 in St. Peter to Marion and Mary Alice (Kotasek) Phillips. He graduated from Le Sueur High School. Jim was united in marriage to Bonnie Bosacker on October 25, 1969 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center. Jim worked at Highway Ag as an Agronomist for many years. Jim retired from truck driving with Kristico out of Mankato and then sold sweet corn for Seneca Foods after retirement.

Jim enjoyed visiting, socializing and telling his stories with everyone around him, fishing, loved and enjoyed all of his grandkids and enjoyed attending all of their sporting events. He was a member of the Lions Club, Sons of American Legion, Izaac Walton League of America all of Le Center, and was very proud of his 22 years of sobriety.

Jim is survived by his wife, Bonnie of 46 years; children, Jeff (Treasa) Phillips of Henderson, Chad (Heidi) Phillips of Cleveland, and Tracey Phillips of Franklin, IN; grandchildren, Jamie Phillips, Garrett Phillips, Courtney (Sean) Dawson, Gus Phillips, Lindsey Phillips, Christa Phillips and Kallie Phillips; grand-dog, Bubba; brothers, Tom (Lamona) Phillips of Henderson, and Mark Phillips of Le Sueur; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Earl (Ethel) Bosacker; nephews, John Bosacker, and Chris Bosacker.
