Clare Marie Morgan

CLARE M. MORGAN of Montgomery, Minnesota, passed away on February 21st, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her son, Peter Morgan, and her parents, Dr. John C. Larsen and Donna Larsen. She is survived by her son, Mark Heupel, and siblings Gail O’Brien, Dave Larsen, and Brian Larsen. 

Clare was born on October 7th, 1965 at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and grew up in Montgomery, MN, where she will be remembered for her impact on the community and for her big personality. Growing up she attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and graduated from the Montgomery-Lonsdale public school system, where she was a cheerleader and was actively involved in various school clubs. She began work at the local First National Bank before continuing her education and earning an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Dakota County Technical College. Professionally, Clare was most proud of her time at Mobilize Montgomery, where she combined her previous work experience, education, and passion for her community by working on town projects. 

While in Montgomery, Clare married her first husband, Bill Morgan and gave birth to her first son, Peter. She later remarried to Ron Heupel, with whom she had her second son, Mark, and moved to Duluth, MN to raise her family. Clare lived the remainder of her life primarily in Duluth, where she worked as a freelance accountant and Tupperware consultant. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, in her kitchen, and outside.

Respects will be given at Most Holy Redeemer Church on March 1st with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M and a 1:00 P.M mass time, followed by her burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery. After the burial at approximately 3:30 P.M., we will gather to celebrate Clare’s life at the Montgomery Bowling Alley. Memorials preferred to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
