Dan Taraba

Dan Taraba, 47, of Montgomery, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Dan was born on November 1, 1966 in New Prague to Robert and Bonnie (Svihel) Taraba. He graduated from Montgomery Lonsdale High School and Vo-tech in Faribault. He worked at United Steel in Montgomery and also did carpentry work. He enjoyed fishing, motor cycling, computers, deer hunting, his 1965 Ford Convertible that he and his father restored, his dogs- Harley and Amber, hockey and carpentry work. He was a member of the Montgomery Fire Department for 20 years and also EPU (Emergency Preparedness Unit) in Montgomery.
Dan is survived by parents, Robert and Bonnie Taraba of Montgomery; sister, Lynn (Bob) Denzer of Montgomery, Nephews and their families, Jeremy (Erica) Denzer, Porter and Griffin, Adam (Megan) Denzer and McKenzie and Jackson, and Ryan (Shannon) Denzer and Kaden; Aunts, Pam (Tim) Dorn of New Prague, Gladys Dols of Montgomery and Bernice Lapic of New Prague.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank (Rose) Taraba and Les (Ruth) Svihel.
