Daniel Borchardt

Daniel Michael Borchardt, age 57, of Montgomery passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday December 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior all at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center, MN with Pastor Jason Pollington officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Le Center, MN.

Dan was born on November 23,1966 to William and Cheryl Borchardt in Le Sueur, MN. He was a graduate of Montgomery-Lonsdale High School and attended St. John’s University. Dan married JoAnne Rohloff August 8, 1992 and had 3 children. Dan remarried Jill Schloesser on September 14, 2019.

Growing up Dan played numerous sports. He later coached three of his kids in hockey. He was an avid Minnesota fan, especially the Minnesota Gophers. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, side-by-side and snowmobile trips, along with watching NASCAR races. His happiest moments were spent with family.

Dan is survived by his wife, Jill; children, Tony (Christa) Thesing, Andover, MN, Nate (Dani) Borchardt, West Fargo, ND, Nikki Borchardt, West Fargo, ND and Nolan Borchardt, Montgomery, MN; brothers, Brian Borchardt, Le Center, MN, Lynn (Lori) Borchardt, Faribault, MN, and Billy (Becky) Borchardt, Le Center, MN; Two grandchildren, Thomas Thesing and Brooks Borchardt; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Lily.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents.
