David "Porky" Lynn Harmeyer

David "Porky" Lynn Harmeyer, age 64 of Le Center, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Mayo Systems Hospital in New Prague. Memorial service will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center with visitation 1 hour prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be held in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rural Le Center.

David was born on April 8, 1952 in St. Peter to Ralph and Mary "Marvel" (Sautter) Harmeyer. He attended St. John's University, and received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and became a lawyer. More recently, he was employed with Horizon Homes, Inc. out of Mankato.

David enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends, music, was an avid reader, was a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, and told "Dad" Jokes.

David is survived by his mother, Marvel Harmeyer of Le Center; daughters, Lauren Harmeyer of St. Paul, and Kate Harmeyer of Inver Grove Heights; and brother, Ken (Joyce) Harmeyer of Le Center.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Harmeyer; and sister, Mary Lou Battig.
