Dennis Hanks

Dennis Hanks, age 78, of Kilkenny passed away on August 12, 2014. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15,, 2014 from 9-11 AM at Schoenbauer Funeral home in Montgomery. Funeral services will also be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with a luncheon at the American Legion following services. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny.
Dennis was born September 15, 1935 to Edward and Bertha (Weber) Hanks. He attended Horseshoe Lake School in Le Sueur Co. He was self-employed as a dairy and hog farmer. He enjoyed fishing, card playing, visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Sue (Tom) Holicky of Le Center, Joan Keskee of Eagle Lake, Margaret (Mike) Jabas of Kilkenny, Lois Atchley of Mankato and Duane "Butch" Hanks of Grafton, North Dakota; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Maureen (Glenn) Erickson of Wisconsin and three sister-in-laws.
Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Svoboda) Hanks; parents; brothers, Irvin Hanks, Lawrence Hanks and Bernard Hanks; and grandchild Sarah.
