Dennis Michael O'Connell

Dennis Michael O'Connell, age 65, of Edina, formerly of Montgomery, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Celebration of Life will be at 6:30 also at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Burial will be at a later date.
Dennis was born to Richard John and Loretta Mary (Kline) O'Connell of on August 11, 1948 in Montgomery. He graduated from Montgomery Lonsdale High School and Normandale Community College graduating in 1988 with a engineering degree.
Enjoyed his place in Aitkin, MN where he spent weekends and vacations for 22 years. He enjoyed flower gardening, reading, especially Ernest Hemingway. He was very proud of his Irish heritage and his grandchildren.
He is survived children, Brian Patrick O'Connell of Anoka and Sara Jo O'Connell of North Minneapolis; grandchildren; Justin, Jeffery, Sadrea, Sade, Frank, Sarod; mother, Loretta O'Connell of Montgomery; siblings, Becky (Bob) Block, Vickie O'Connell & Dave Schlingmann and Lori (Rick) Gregor.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard John O'Connell.
