Dolores Marie (nee, Rynda) Prokes, age 91 of Montgomery, died Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Fr. Victor Valencia will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.
Dolores was born on August 30, 1925 in Montgomery to Anna E. (Cordes) and Joseph T. Rynda, Jr. Dolores was united in marriage to Frank Prokes at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on August 30, 1947. Dolores was employed by Siemers Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant and also a Secretary at Y.E.S. in Northfield. Dolores enjoyed making things for her family and friends. She wrote 8 family tree books, put on countless class and family reunions, made several hand sewn quilts for each child and grandchild, and many cabbage patch dolls. She enjoyed outings with her brother Leonard that always ended in buffets and shopping. Dolores was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary.
Dolores is survived by her loving children, Robert (Monina) Prokes of Lakeside, CA, Bonita Wigfield of Norwood Young America, Roger Prokes of South St. Paul and Karen Chambers of Montgomery; grandchildren, Theodore Koltes, Stacy (Anthony) Trcka, Andy (Julie) Wigfield, Shaun (Tauna) Wigfield, Patrick Chambers, Kristykay (Andrew) Gillard; great-grand-children, Cody Wigfield, Alexandra Koltes, Connor Koltes, Chandra Wigfield, Lukas Trcka, Evelyn Wigfield, Nicholas Gillard, Brady Wigfield, Kylee Bulock and Madison Gillard.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sibling, Leonard Rynda; and son-in-law, Larry Wigfield.
