Donald Joseph Wondra, age 81, of Montgomery, died on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Donald was born November 1, 1933 to Joseph and Mary (Blank) Wondra. He graduated from Montgomery High School and served in the U.S. Army Para Troopers during the Korean War.
He was united in marriage to Neala Kendall at St. Joseph Church in Lexington and had worked at Parson Plumbing & Hardware and did road construction. He later was operator for Montgomery's Waste treatment plan and supervisor for the city crew.
Don is survived by his wife, Neala of Montgomery; son Brian of Prior Lake; daughter, Brenda of Montgomery; 2 grandchildren, Emma and Jake Wondra; and sister, Bettie Hertaus of Shakopee.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Dottie Ann in infancy; his parents and a brother-in-law, Marvin Hertaus.
