Donald William Coughlin

Donald William Coughlin, age 82, of Montgomery passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Interment will be held at St. Michaels Cemetery in Montgomery. Military Honors will be provided my Montgomery area Honor Guard.

Donald was born to Agnes (Weiers) and James Coughlin on December 8, 1939 in New Prague. He went to school at Holy Redeemer Parochial School and Montgomery Highschool. He married Donna Jean Horejsi on June 26, 1965, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. He worked at Polar Panel in Montgomery and then at the Con Agra (Robin Hood) flour mill in New Prague.
Donald had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed playing softball and euchre and was a fan of the Gophers and the Vikings.

Donald is survived by his children, Cindy Hlavac of Farmington, Dale (Arunee) Coughlin of Thailand, and Sheila McGuiggan of New Prague; brothers, Jerry (Jane) Coughlin of Alabama, Robert Coughlin of Minneapolis, Jim (Carol) Coughlin of Montgomery, and Roger Coughlin of Faribault; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Coughlin; and his parents, Agnes and James Coughlin.
