Donna Lorraine Knish

Donna Lorraine Knish, 56, passed away on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 4-7pm Saturday, December 15th at Schoenbauer Funeral Home 200 3rd St SE, Montgomery, MN.

She was born on September 7th, 1962 in Spirit River, Alberta, Canada to Donald and Carol (Myles) Cooper. Donna grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She attended and graduated from Calgary High School. After high school she attended individual courses to become a financial advisor and then began working for RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) as a financial advisor and banker where she worked for approximately 6 years. Following that she moved to the United States and she and Darrell started an Etsy woodworking shop shortly after they got married and have been running 3 successful shops since 2001. She took care of the customer service, billing and shipping as well marketing the beautiful handmade products they made. They also owned and operated Oak Hollow Resort in Waterville.

Donna married Darrell in 2001 in Mankato, MN. They were happily married for 17 years. She enjoyed gardening, spending sunny days on the porch overlooking the lake, spending time with her family and grandchildren, spending holidays at the cabin in Waterville and taking care of her beloved dogs, and going dancing. She will be eternally missed by her friends and family.

Donna is survived by her mother Carol (Lawrie) Lavender, aunt Judy (Russ) Alberta, Canada, spouse Darrell of Kilkenny, MN; her step-children Cris (Kurt) Young of Le Center, MN, Jesse (Soumya) Knish of Austin, TX, Daniel (Tina) Knish of Kilkenny, MN; her brothers Kenneth (JoAnne) Cooper of Calgary, Alberta and James (Vicki) Cooper of Prince Edward Island; her step-grandchildren Trevor Knish, Nikaija Young, Kaiden Young, Isabella Knish, Siddharth Knish, Vivienne Knish; and her nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Donna was preceded in death by her father Donald Cooper.
