Doris Marie Tiede

Doris Marie Tiede, age 80 of Le Center, died on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at St. Gertrudes in Shakopee. Funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, October 26 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Le Center. Visitation will be from 9-11am on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Rural Le Center.

Doris was born on March 10, 1937 in Janesville Township in Waseca County to Frederick and Evelyn (Wohlford) Krueger. Doris was baptized April 11, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Smiths Mills, MN by Rev. Otto K. Metghe and confirmed April 15, 1951 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Le Center by Rev. Robert C. Ackermann. Doris was a graduate from McKinley High School in 1955. Doris was united in marriage to LeRoy Tiede on October 8, 1956 in Le Center.

Doris was Princess of the REA Company, and Princess K of the Milky Way. She was a member and 4-H leader. She taught confirmation classes. Doris was an avid porcelain doll maker, an awesome cook and baker and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her husband of 61 years, LeRoy Tiede of Le Center; Children, Rusty (Nancy) Tiede of Le Center, Randy (Karen) Tiede of Taftville, CT, Dawn Tiede of Janesville, and Dale (Patty) Tiede of Le Center; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Paul, Sr.) Vollmer of Montgomery, Alice (Arden) Flaten of Hastings, and Lois (Gerald) Tobias of New Ulm; brothers, Galen (Caroline) Krueger of Le Center, and Glen Krueger of Henderson; sister-in-law, Patsy Lande; step brother-in-law, Lloyd (Peggy) Svoboda; step sister-in-law, Bernice (Wayne) Bohnsack, and Carol Svoboda.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters in infancy; step brother-in-law, Rueben Svoboda.
