Dorothy Hruby, 84, from Montgomery passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Mayo Health System Hospital of New Prague. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. With one hour prior at the church on Friday, March 21, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.
Dorothy was born July 13, 1929 in Le Sueur to John and Frieda (Bauman) Duzan. She attended Le Sueur High School. She was united in marriage to her best friend and life partner Clarence Hruby on May 14, 1949 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.
She enjoyed golf, teaching swimming at Lake Volney, tutorial reading to grade school children, being a cheerleader, loved to dance, go on vacations, playing cards, spending time and showing her unconditional love to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading books, writing poems and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Clarence Hruby of Montgomery; children, Sue (and Dale) Ferguson of Colorado Springs, Co., Richard (and Kimberly) Hruby of Northfield, Chris (and Mark) Bisek of Montgomery, Mike (and Robyn) Hruby of Montgomery and Lisa (and Tony) Kozitza of North Mankato; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Doran; brothers, Buster Duzan, Lorny Duzan, Walter Duzan and Floyd Duzan.
