Dorothy Marie Duffney

Dorothy Marie Duffney, age 85 of Lonsdale, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at The Villages of Lonsdale. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. also on Saturday. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Dorothy was born on May 19, 1930 to John and Mary (Kuchynka) Zvanovec. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1948. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ambrose Duffney on May 12, 1949 in Montgomery.

She worked at seasonal at Green Giant, 3M at Northfield, housekeeping and farming. She was a 4H leader and enjoyed gardening, grand and great-grandchildren, card playing and dancing.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by children, Shirley Pumper of Montgomery, Bonny Duffney of Woodvillo, WI., Duane (Vicky) Duffney of Montgomery, and Deb (Dave) Pederson of Lonsdale; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard (Irene) Zvanovec of Montgomery, Leonard (Rhoda) Duffney of Montgomery, Arnie Kukacka of Montgomery, and Roger (JoAnn) Duffney of Washington State.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose; and her parents.
