Dorothy Mary Prochaska

Dorothy Mary Prochaska, age 88, of Montgomery died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Mala Strana Health Care. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at Schoenbauer Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Scholastica Cemetery in Heidelberg.

Dorothy was born on January 28, 1924 in Derrynane Township to Walter (and Anna Plonsky) Laban. She graduated from New Prague High School. She was united in marriage to Raymond Prochaska on October 16, 1948 at the St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg. She was a homemaker and also worked seasonally at Green Giant.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, cross stitching, gardening, canning and card playing.
Dorothy is survived by children; Raenell (and Harvey) Dorn of Eden Prairie, Gordy Prochaska (and special friend Ginny McEavoy) of Montgomery, Rod Prochaska (and special friend Peggy Everson) of Montgomery, Darlene (and Steve) Walsh of Prior Lake, Marlene Prochaska of White Bear lake, and Mike (and Cathy) Prochaska of New Prague, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister Florence Simon of New Prague.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, great-granddaughter Ashley Prochaska, brothers Edward and Leonard and sisters Esther Trnka and Gert Gostomczik.
