Duane Howard Struck

Duane Howard Struck, age 69, of Montgomery, died on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Mayo Health Systems New Prague. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lanesburg with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.

Duane was born on February 8, 1947 in St. Peter to Gordon and Lorraine (Haack) Struck. He was united in marriage to Bernadine Ardell Rients on February 7, 1970 in Elysian. He was a graduate of Cleveland High School. He served our country in Vietnam for the United States Army. Duane was a plant mechanic for 44 years at Green Giant/ Seneca. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering.

Duane is survived by his loving family; wife, Bernadine (Bernie) of Montgomery; children, Kelly (Jennifer) Struck of Waterville, Tonia Knapp of Farmington, Connecticut, and John Struck of Burnsville; granddaughters, Sabrina and Isabella Knapp; siblings, James (Denise) Struck of Cleveland, Gerry (Terri) Struck of Cleveland, Deb (Robert) Gehrke of Cleveland, and Sue Struck of Albuquerque, New Mexico; in-laws, Gary (Mary) Rients of Bemidji, DeLorna (Curt) Marti of Navarre, Florida, Dennis (Kathy) Rients of Elysian, Becky (Glen) Asleson of Kasota, and Jeff Rients of Prior Lake.

Duane is preceded in death by his parents, and nephews, Mike and Andy Struck.

Military honors provided by the Montgomery area honor guard.
