Dylan Jennings Fredrickson

DYLAN JENNINGS FREDRICKSON, age 32 of Waseca, died on the afternoon of Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his ICAN home in Waseca.

Dylan was born on October 26, 1992 in Shakopee to Jody Fredrickson. He attended school in Le Center before graduating from Waseca High School with the class of 2012. He did piecework for Jobs Plus in Waseca for many years. Dylan’s friends remember him as the greatest goofball who was always happy to entertain others. He loved going out to eat at Dairy Queen, Burger King, Happy Chef, and Baker’s Square, although any place would have made him smile. He could often be found in his electric wheelchair, using “swords” to defend his friends from zombies or other enemies he imagined. Dylan competed in racing events in the Special Olympics, was involved with the Special Horses for Special People program, and was always involved with ICAN events – especially the annual talent show where he loved to sing. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Jody Fredrickson of Winsted; his grandfather, David (Donna) Fredrickson of Le Center; sister Rose Miles of Winsted; maternal uncle Jesse (Kari) Fredrickson of Mankato; paternal uncles Kenny (Allison) Hale of Minnesota, Jerry (Nicole) West of Janesville, and Tom West of St. Peter; many cousins including Rylee Fredrickson of St. Peter and Ashtin Fredrickson of Mankato; and his very special friend, Tasha Volkmann of Waseca.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosemary “Roe” Fredrickson; his paternal grandmother, Louise West; and two brothers, David Fredrickson and Johnathan Miles

A public visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Le Center Chapel of Schoenbauer Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date.
