Edward Richard Griffiths

Edward Richard Griffiths, age 67, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at his home in Cleveland. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Burial will be at a later date. Luncheon will follow service at the 4-H Family Center on the Le Sueur County Fairgrounds.
Edward was born on October 16, 1946 in Mankato to John and Mildred (Othoudt) Griffiths. He graduated in 1964 from Lake Crystal High School. He was united in marriage to Lona Johnson on December 15, 1967 in Columbus, North Dakota. He was a diesel mechanic in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1970. During that time, he was stationed at the Fortuna Air Force Station in Fortuna, ND, the Panama Canal Zone, Panama and NORAD in Colorado Springs, CO.
Edward is survived by his wife, Lona Griffiths of Cleveland; children, Melissa Alam of Eagle Lake, Kami Griffiths (Kevin Terhune) of Oakland, CA., and John (Miriam) Griffiths of Woodbury; grandchildren, Shyla Alam, Shazia Alam, Ian Alam, Tove Griffiths, Edward Griffiths and Alexander Terhune; siblings, Jane Griffiths of Mankato and Alan (Elaine) Griffiths of Lake Crystal.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
