Elaine Malecha

Elaine Malecha, 82 of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 9 am to 11 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian burial will also be held on Friday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11 am. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale.

Elaine was born on December 28, 1932 in Lonsdale to James and Anna (Novotny) Voracek Sr. She was a cook at Schumachers in New Prague and also HRS in Montgomery, also as a seamstress at Munsingwear in Montgomery. She was united in marriage to Joseph P. Malecha on September 12, 1950 in Lonsdale. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and needlework.

Elaine is survived by children, Ronald (Laurie) Malecha of Pasco, Washington, Steven (Julie) Malecha of St. Louis Park and Gerald (Sandy) Malecha of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Ryan Malecha, Cassie Malecha and Katie Malecha; great-grandson, Mason Malecha and brother, James (Marianne) Voracek Jr. of Lonsdale.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Malecha; parents and brother, Henry in childhood.
