Eleanor A. Ceplecha, age 91 of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Villages of Lonsdale. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 14 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Fr. George Grafsky will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 13 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery and will continue at the funeral home an hour prior to Mass on Monday morning.
Eleanor was born on February 20, 1925 to Frank and Agnes (Cecka) David in Wheatland Township. She married Leonard Ceplecha on September 25, 1944 in Lonsdale. She enjoyed gardening, baking, old time music dancing, playing euchre, sewing, farm life, and most of all, cherished time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her seven children, Carolyn (Ron) Honza of Owatonna, Leonard (Cheryl) Ceplecha of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary Ceplecha of Faribault, David (JoAnn) Ceplecha of Lonsdale, Jean (Rick) Reid of Appleton, WI, Dennis (Marykay) Ceplecha of Webster, and Terry (Bob) Condon of Woodbury; 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; and sisters, Sylvia Kovarik and Margie Soukup.
