Eleanor Grace Richter

Eleanor G. Richter, age 95 of Montgomery, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26 at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 25 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Montgomery.

Eleanor was born on February 20, 1922 to James and Mary Jane (Humber) Horazdovsky on the family farm in Montgomery Twp. She attended the Loftus Country School in rural Montgomery. She married Clarence L. Richter on June 4, 1946 at St. John Lutheran Church in Montgomery. She enjoyed crocheting, cats, puzzles, travelling, and her root beer barrel candies.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Richter of New Prague; nephews, George Horazdovsky of Cleveland, and Jim Horazdovsky of Faribault; nieces, Darlene Richter of Edina, and Sharon Richter of Mound; sister-in-law, Mayme Richter of Mound; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James (1881-1962) and Mary Jane (1884-1943); husband, Clarence (1920-2000); daughter, Janice (1953-1953); sisters, Blanche (1909-1915), and Bessie (1912-2002); and brothers, James (1913-1914), and George (1915-2003).

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Susan Tuma, Shirley Picha, Barb Ruhland, Sandy Simon, Brenda Stenzel, and Pat Bartusek.

Casket Bearers will be Bill and Mike Ruhland, Jim Horazdovsky, Dale Stenzel, Bob Janovsky, and Joe Novak.
