Eleanor Marie Williams

Eleanor Marie Williams, 98, of Le Center, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Central Health Care in Le Center. Private family services will be held.

Eleanor was born on November 26, 1920 to Art and Elizabeth Zinnell in West Bend, Iowa. She owned and operated Alba Hotel in Montgomery which is now the Monty bar. She learned how to play golf at the age of 60 and she enjoyed fishing with her family.

Eleanor is survived by children, Gail Novak of Le Center, Dennis (Pam) Berninghaus of Savage, and Larry Berninghaus of Montgomery; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Eleanor is preceded in death by first husband, Edwin Berninghaus of 45 years; second husband, Wilson Williams of 25 years; parents; siblings, Alvin Zinnell, and Viola Daul.
