Elisabeth Ann "Betsy" Meistrell

Elisabeth Ann “Betsy” Meistrell, age 80 of North Mankato, formerly of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21 from 10am-11:30am with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:30am all held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Interment will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Montgomery.

Betsy was born on October 4,1942 in Biloxi, MS to Harold and Ann (Ihrig) Loken. She graduated from St. Cloud College and taught school in Montgomery, and also owned and operated Ben Franklin for 40 years. Betsy was united in marriage to John Meistrell on December 28, 1965 in St. Peter. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, crocheting- making and sharing her gifts with others, cooking and baking, reading, socializing over coffee, loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Betsy is survived by her children, Ann (Brian) Cesafsky of North Mankato, Paula Meistrell of Stonington, CT, Katie (Bryan) Titus of Middletown, CT, and Matt Meistrell of North Mankato; 2 grandchildren, Sam and Madison Cesafsky; grand dogs, Zoey and Pheeny.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; 2 sisters, Jean Tolzman and Cathy Larson; parents; mother-in-law, Marilyn Haes.
