Elroy Milton Picha

Elroy Milton Picha, age 90, of Montgomery, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at Mayo Systems New Prague Hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30pm with Father Victor Valencia officiating. Burial will be at Trebon Cemetery.

Elroy was born on March 11, 1929 at home in Lanesburg Township to William and Hortense (Chromy) Picha. Elroy was a graduate of New Prague High School. Elroy was united in marriage to Joan Shetka on October 16, 1951 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Elroy was a farmer all his life who took great pride in his farm and the equipment he used. He enjoyed tinkering, fixing things, and being outdoors and was a proud member of Pioneer Power.

Elroy is survived by his wife, Joan Picha of Montgomery; children, Karen (David) Kreuser of Jordan, Steven (Rita) Picha of Montgomery, Dave (Colleen) Picha of Northfield, and Michael (Diane) Picha of Owatonna; 9 grandchildren, Stacey, Jennifer, Tom, Lisa, Rachel, Stephanie, Chelsea, Tyler, and Tanner; 10 great-grandchildren.

Elroy is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Myron Picha.
