Evelyn Lukes

Evelyn Clara Lukes, age 90 of Le Center, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Rev. Dan Watland will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Le Center.

Evelyn was born on February 9, 1925 to George and Minnie (Kewitsch) Scheffert in Janesville, MN. She married Alvin "Bud" Lukes on September 10, 1946 in Le Center. She was a country school teacher. She enjoyed playing cards, canning, baking, visiting friends and family, and helping at Roxie's Daycare.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Deb (Kenny) Adams of Le Center; son-in-law, Curt Roehmildt of Le Center; grandchildren, Bradley, Sarah, and Dayna Adams, Jill (Gene) Boyd and Chris (Michelle) Roehmildt; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Bud" Lukes; daughter, Roxie Roehmildt; and sister, Margie Scheffert.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center.
