Fern Jeanette Bily

Fern Jeanette Bily, age 80 a resident of Montgomery for 55 years, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at her home.

Fern was born on January 24, 1941 in Mower County to Fred and Mabel (Thorseth) Bjork. She was a graduate of Austin High School. She was united in marriage to Frank Bily on October 5, 1958 in Lansing Lutheran Church. Fern worked as an insurance agent at the 1st National Insurance for 21 years. Fern was a Sunday school teacher and an awesome mom. She enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with grand kids, baking, and reading.

Fern is survived by her children, Gilbert (Chandra) Bily of Idaho Falls, ID. And Cynthia (Steven) Wacker of Montgomery; siblings, Joe (Janet) Bjork of Babbit, Delano (Mona) Bjork of Embarrass, Betsy Ritterath of Austin, Roger (Lila) Bjork of Decorah, IA., and Ruth Schmidt of Wisc.; grandchildren, Tamara Jackson, Kyle Bily, Shayne Bily, Nicole Wacker, and Brandon Wacker; 9 great-grandchildren.

Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bily; parents; siblings, Fred, Bill, Merle, Daisy, Laura, Elaine, Eugene, and Mae.
