Francis Anthony Maca

Francis Anthony Maca, 84, of Le Center died on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Francis was born on August 18, 1932 in St. Peter to Frank and Mary (Krenik) Maca. Francis was a 1950 graduate from Le Center High School. Francis was a professional musician with many well-known bands: Six Fat Dutchmen, Whoopee John, and Jules Hermann and many other bands. He also had worked in the Le Sueur County Auditor's office. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Lynx and Vikings.

Francis is survived by his loving daughter, Pamela Schiprett of North Mankato; daughter, Peggy Barreiro of Cypress, CA; grandchildren, Chrissy (fianc�, Rock Moore) Schiprett of Mapleton, and Sara Schiprett of Mapleton, Casey Johnson, and Brady Johnson of California; great-granddaughter, Sophie and another on the way; special friend, Joanne Karels of North Mankato; brother, George Maca of Arlington; nieces and nephews, Ann (Mark) Tristani, Carmen (Rich) Schatzel, and Chris (Jill) Maca.

Preceded in death by parents; sister-in-law, Cathe Maca, and son-in-law, David Schiprett.
