Francis J. Trcka

Francis J. Trcka, age 83, of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Funeral service will be Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at St. John Catholic (Budejovice) Cemetery in Montgomery.
Francis was born to Frank and Elizabeth (Kotek) Trcka on June 6, 1931. He attended Montgomery schools. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Turek in Faribault on February 24, 1962. He was employed with Janutka Lumber Company in Montgomery, New Prague Flour Mill, Treasure Cave in Faribault, Polar Panel in Montgomery and Minnesota Valley Engineering (Chart Industries) in New Prague.
He enjoyed gardening, going on trips, collecting Kolacky buttons, and visiting with family and friends.
Francis is survived by wife, Yvonne Trcka of Montgomery; children, Ron (Therese Barnett) Trcka of Shieldsville, Char (Bruce) Davis of Montgomery and Brian (Julie Gronli) Trcka of Lakeville; five grandchildren, Jenny Trcka, Kelsey Davis, Brad Davis, Sara Trcka and Kate Trcka and 1 great-granddaughter, Avery Angelow, sister-in-law, Erna Trcka and niece, Elizabeth Callahan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; special aunt and uncle who raised him from a young age, Adolph and Albina Petricka; brothers, Stanley, Milo and James; step-sister, Albina Tuma. Arrangements are with Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. 507-364-7929. www.schoenbauerfuneralhome.com
