Frank G. Koubele

Frank G. Koubele, age 93, of Montgomery, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be also held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Father Victor Valencia will be celebrating the mass. Interment will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.

Frank was born on July 9, 1922 at the home farm in rural Montgomery to Frank and Anna (Cervenka) Koubele. He was a graduate of Montgomery High School in 1941. Frank was united in marriage to Alvia Zellmer on March 4, 1946 in Montgomery.

He enjoyed working on the farm, mushroom hunting, his Czech heritage, traveling, visiting, and loved spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his wife, Alvia Koubele of Montgomery; children, Sharon Koubele of Las Vegas, NV, Carol (Jim) Turek of Burlington, KY, Connie Kopet of Le Center, and Raymond Koubele of Montgomery; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Agnes Gammon of Las Vegas, NV.

Frank is preceded in death by daughter, Judy Gaydon; sons-in-law, Russell Kopet and Lyndon (Buck) Gaydon; granddaughter, Jessica Turek; parents; and sisters, Betty Koubele, Emma Koubele, Anna Zahratka, Mary Gregor, and Helen Hamale
