Gerald "Jerry" Joseph Dudley, age 79, of Kilkenny died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Glencoe Hospital in Glencoe. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 18 from 3-7 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny with visitation one hour prior at the church. Father Victor will be officiating. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny.
Jerry was born on October 7, 1937 in Faribault to George and Lillian (Madden) Dudley. Jerry was a graduate from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault. Jerry was united in marriage to Ellen Freid on May 7, 1960 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Jerry and Ellen farmed most of their lives in Kilkenny and were also foster parents for many many years. They were very strong advocates for ARC. Jerry was a wonderful father and foster parent.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff Dudley of Strum, WI., Denice Dudley (significant other Glen Woodis) of Shieldsville, Michael Dudley of Owatonna, and Kim (Tom) Hawkins of Kilkenny; grandchildren, Chris Woodis, Melisa Disney, T.J. Hawkins (Maria), Kacie (Trevor) Woodis Johnson, and Nicole (Brentley) Jones; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Mary) Dudley of Faribault; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Dudley of Shieldsville, Bob Freid of Maplewood, Mike (Rose Anne) Freid of Faribault, Don (Pat) Freid of Le Sueur, Shirley Jeno of Montgomery, David (Nancy) Freid of Cleveland, Carol Freid of Montgomery, and Mary Kay Freid of Montgomery; many nieces and nephews.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen; sons, Richie and Mark; brother, John Dudley.
