Gladys B. Sirek

Gladys B. Sirek, 91 of Lonsdale passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Villages of Lonsdale. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale. Mass of Christian burial will also be held on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale.

Gladys was born on May 17, 1924 in rural Montgomery to Edward J. and Albina Wondra. She was united in marriage to George C. Sirek and farmed in rural Montgomery. Gladys worked at Green Giant seasonally, an egg candler for Dvorak in New Prague and also was a house cleaner for many years.

Gladys enjoyed gardening, reading, farming, crocheting, Czech music and dancing, volunteering at church and was very generous. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church CCW.

She is survived by her daughters, Carole (Dennis) Vlasak of Maple Grove, Dorothy Flicek of Farmington and son, Donald (Linda) Sirek of Montgomery; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Glenn Wondra, Sr. of Montgomery and Esther Kabes of New Prague.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents and husband George.
