Gladys E. Dols

Gladys E. Dols, age 88, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Private family services will be held.

Gladys was born on September 10, 1931 in Montgomery to Frank and Rose (Fierst) Taraba. Gladys was a 1949 graduate of Montgomery High School and also from teaching school in Le Center in 1950. She taught 8 years in Rice and Le Sueur County rural schools, 1st and 2nd grade in Prior Lake, M.L.P. School, Paraprofessional for 17 years, and New Prague Elementary as a Reading Teacher. Gladys was united in marriage to Leonard C. Dols at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on August 23, 1955.

Gladys is survived by her children, Laure A. (Kevin) Jirak of New Prague, Debbie R. (Mike) Brockway of Le Center, and David Dols of Lonsdale; grandchildren, Tim Brockway, Jenny (Blake) ORourke, Ryan (Abby) Jirak, Matthew Dols, and Jacob Dols; great-grandchildren, Luke Brockway, Joe Brockway, Brynlee ORourke, Bria ORourke; siblings, Bernice Lapic of New Prague and Bob (Bonnie) Taraba of Montgomery; sister-in-law, Darleen Tupy of New Prague.

Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Dols in 1996; daughter, Mary in infancy; granddaughter, Stacy Jirak; and her parents.
