Gladys Irene Turek

Gladys Irene Turek, 87, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Gladys was born on June 7, 1927 in Montgomery to Frank E. and Rose (Kupka) Jindra. She attended country school and Montgomery High School. She was united in marriage to Daniel B. Turek on November 5, 1946 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. She worked at Shattuck � St. Mary's in Faribault and Spors in Le Center. Gladys also helped with the family farm and the family auction business. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Gladys is survived by son, Daniel L. (Barb) Turek, Jr of Montgomery; grandchildren, Crystal (Adam) Smisek of Lonsdale and Travis (Jenny) Turek of Montgomery and one great-grandson, Carter Smisek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Turek; parents and brother, Francis.
