Gordon Wayne Ellanson, Jr.

Gordon Wayne Ellanson, Jr., 59, of Le Center, died January, 14, 2021, at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19 from 4pm to 7pm at the Le Center Funeral Home in Le Center. Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Le Center. Interment will be held in Cordova Cemetery in Cordova.

Gordon was born on May 7, 1961 in Madelia to Gordon Wayne Sr. and Connie (Mickelson) Ellanson. He went to Le Center High School and worked for Le Sueur Inc. for 42 years.
Gordon enjoyed grilling and cooking, hunting, fishing, music, dancing, spending time with family and grandchildren, spending time up north, going to Canada, gardening, watching football, camping, floating down the river, and spending time with his woman!

Gordon is survived by his parents, Gordon Sr. (Connie) Ellanson of Le Center; wife, Nancy Ellanson of Le Center; children, Kayla (Jimmy) Claffey of Le Center, Stacy Mikel of Bowerville, Erica (Bryan) Dorenkamp of Rochester, and Jeff (Bernice) Finnesgard of Iwakuni, Japan; grandchildren, Harrison and Lennon Claffey, Alyson Dorenkamp, Zach and Adrian Finnesgard, Kearra, Isabelle, Chase, and Payton Mikel; siblings, Susan Olson of Le Center, Jesse (Linda) Ellanson of New Prague, Dawn (Dave) Weber of Le Sueur, Lisa (Phil) Simon of Le Center.

Gordon is preceded in death by grandparents, Palmer (Mary) Mickelson; uncle, Edward “Sonny” Mickelson; aunt, Lynn Morrow; niece, Crystal Jo Olson; and Gordon's dog.
