Helen Holicky

Helen Holicky, age 90, of Le Center died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Horizon Place in Le Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Le Center Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Le Center with visitation 1 hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

Helen was born on July 2, 1923 to Joseph and Mary (Trcka) Flicek. She was united in marriage to Norbert Holicky on June 11, 1940 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary post 108 President. She enjoyed card playing, fishing, bingo and butterflies.

Helen is survived by children; Barbara Tiede of Le Center, Patricia (Mike) Blaschko of Le Center, Suzanne (Bob) Wolf of Wisconsin, Kenneth Holicky of Browns Valley, Colleen (Gerry) Robinson of Le Center, Robert (Carol) Holicky of Le Center, Theresa (Norman) Johnson of Georgia, Beverly (Myles) Simon of Montgomery, Kathy (Mike) Stang of New Prague, Joyce (Mike) Resch of Mankato, John (Linda) Holicky of Le Center, Jacqueline (Stanley) Stocker of Le Center and Mary Kay (Steve) Jindra of Montgomery, 44 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, siblings; Mildred Sautter of Le Center, Marion Bailey of Nerstrand, Irene Hahn of Texas, half siblings; Ivan Flicek of Annandale, Beverly Taylor of Arizona and Darlene Harmon of Waterville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Norbert Holicky, son-in-law James Tiede, brothers Elroy and Joe Flicek and Eugene Flicek in Childhood.
