Helen Kathryn Thelemann

Helen Kathryn Thelemann, age 90 passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10-11am with Memorial Mass of Chrisitan Burial at 11am all at the Church of Nativity in Cleveland with Father Tom Margevicius officiating. Burial will be at St. Henry Cemetery in St. Henry. In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, St. Anne’s School or Le Sueur Nursery School.

Helen was born on January 27, 1933 in Mankato to Edwin P. and Mary (Hardegger) Meyer. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School, McKinley High School, and Mankato Teachers College. She taught school for 43 years at Farmington, Le Sueur, St. Anne’s School, and the Le Sueur Nursery School. Helen was united in marriage LeRoy Thelemann on June 25, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center.

Helen is survived by children, Susan (Rick) Smith of Rochester, William (Sheri) Thelemann, and Jeff (Dayna) Thelemann; grandchildren, Philip (Janet) Larson, Joe Larson, Pat Larson, Matthew (Chrissy) Larson, Peter (Amy) Thelemann, Anna (Guy) Tietz, Michael (Katie) Thelemann, Molly (Mitch) Sasse, Cody Bunting, Kyle Thelemann, and Riley Thelemann; 16 great-grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LeRoy Thelemann; sister, Mary Traxler; infant brother.
