Henry Joseph Simon, 84, of Montgomery, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Mala Strana Health Care in New Prague. Visitation will be on Friday, April 12, from 4-7pm at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, April 13, at 10:30 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery with visitation one hour prior at the church. Father Victor Valencia will be officiating. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.

Henry was born on December 2, 1934, in Lanesburgh Township to Henry A. and Angela (Machacek) Simon. Henry was united in marriage to Eileen Hinderscheit at St. Scholastic Church in Heidelberg on June 17, 1961. Henry worked as a seasonal employee at Green Giant, Prokes Tiling and Montgomery Locker Plant for 6 years before starting as a Field Mechanic/ Field Rep. for Green Giant for over 30 years. Henry was a Knights of Columbus member and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Henry is survived by his children, Karen Simon of Ames, IA, Steven Simon (Tesi Hansen) of Lakeland, FL, and Lisa (Jason) McDonough of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Stephen and Allison Rynda of Montgomery Andrew and Zackary Simon of Lakeland, FL, Joshua Martin, Ricky and Caleb McDonough of Olympia, WA, Kelsey Murphy of Olympia, WA; great-grandson, Malakia Dean.

Henry is preceded by, wife, Eileen Simon; infant son, Robert Simon; brother, Theodore Simon; in-laws, Frank and Ludmilla Hinderscheit; brothers- in-law, Melvin Hinderscheit and Roger Whipps.
