Jacob Degonda

Jacob DeGonda, age 87 of North Mankato, passed away on August 26, 2019. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 3 from 9am to 10am at St. Marys Catholic Church in Le Center with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.

He was born on June 6, 1932 to Louis and Sabina (Schloesser) DeGonda. Jacob will be remembered for his kindness, warm smile and sense of humor. He enjoyed drives in the country side and to neighboring towns, especially his home town of Le Center. Jacob never missed a Minnesota Twins game on TV and was a frequent customer of the North Mankato Happy Chef.

Jacob is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy (Denzer) Shaughnessy, Elizabeth Cammack and Mary Joan Moutoux. He will be missed dearly by his roommates, Richard, Oliver and Joe; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jacob's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Elm Homes for the extraordinary care that was given to Jacob over the many years.
